...was born Feb. 11, 1822 in County Clare, Ireland and emigrated to this country with his parents in 1825. They first lived in Montreal and seven years later, in 1832, moved to Rochester. Graduating from the Academy in Henrietta in 1838, he began life as a teacher and was eminently successful. In 1844 he married Delia Lord of Mendon.
